 MSc. in Chemical Engineering at the Comahue National University (Argentina), and Ph.D. in composite materials and light alloys at the Vienna University of Technology in 2006, where he was involved in several research programs in aerospace and automobile materials. In 2008 he was involved in the development of porous materials for thermal control systems at IberEspacio S.A. (Madrid, Spain). Currently he is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Materials&Processes at CATEC, where he is involved in the managing and coordination of aerospace research projects in the field of additive manufacturing (AM), automation & robotics, advanced NDT & systems and structural testing, within the national and international community. He acted as Spanish representative during AM harmonization meeting at the European Space Agency in 2014 and co-representative 2017 and coordinates the Additive manufacturing group of the Spanish Platform for Aerospace (PAE). Lasagni owns three international awards, the Fritz-Grasenick Prize of the Austrian Society of Electron Microscopy, the Georg Sachs prize of the German Society of Materials (DGM), and the “Domingo Faustino Sarmiento prize” of the Argentinian senate.
